Interfaith Leaders Send "A Call for Political Courage, Vision, Leadership, and Faith" to President and Congress

Nearly 150 national and state/regional organizations and 26 national faith leaders signed a February 24 letter to the President and Members of Congress asking them to "complete the task at hand" for a comprehensive health care reform bill.  Signers include Ron Sider, President of Evangelicals for Social Action.

Nation-wide Campaign to Support Immigration Reform

Esperanza for America is a nation-wide grassroots campaign to support passage of comprehensive immigration reform legislation in the next year.  The campaign informs and updates supporters about immigration reform policy and prepares volunteers for grassroots activities so that the power of their voices is heard.

Letter of Concern Sent to Congress About Campaign Financing

More than 200 faith leaders, including Ron Sider, representing a diversity of religions have signed onto a letter to Congress expressing concern over the Supreme Court’s decision to reverse decades of campaign finance law to allow unlimited corporate spending on elections. They are also pledging to work with congregations and constituents to encourage passage of legislation that puts voters, rather than special interests, in charge of our democracy.
